ABOUT Me

WHO AM I

I’m Salih Atabey, a digital design and FPGA engineer based in Ankara, Turkey, with a strong interest in exploring all areas of computer science, especially AI. I recently completed my master’s in data science at the Middle East Technical University (METU), building on my bachelor’s in electrical and electronics engineering. My academic and professional background has provided me with a solid foundation in computer architecture, embedded systems, digital electronics, and machine learning.

Professionally, I have extensive experience developing FPGA modules and digital front-end systems for 5G base stations, as well as designing machine learning algorithms. I’m currently working as a digital design engineer in space systems, focusing on telecommunications and intelligent system development.

I’m proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, VHDL, Verilog, and ARM Assembly, and I’m experienced with tools like Quartus, Vivado, and LTSpice. I also hold certifications from DeepLearning.AI.

My research achievements include an accepted article at the ICCV BiVision workshop, with another currently under review in a journal. This page will be updated with any new developments.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new places, diving into fictional worlds, playing role-playing and strategy games, and cooking. I thrive on continuous learning, whether advancing my knowledge in edge computing, AI research, or innovative hardware solutions.
